Gemmell comes from the back for a top 10 in APC series opener

Last night was our first race of the APC series at Sunset Speedway for the Dayco 100. In practice we managed to grab the 7th best time overall out of 20 cars. We made more changes to make the car better after practice but in qualifying our car was bottoming out on the track hard and we only managed an 18th quick time. We would start the race 18th and would pit early during the first caution to make adjustments so our car would not bottom out. The rest of the race we raced all the way from the back to 6th with 10 laps to go the car would lose the handling and we would fall back to 8th. Overall a solid day for where we had to start and the car is still in one piece. Onto Flamboro in a few weeks for the next APC event.

Gemmell still fighting bugs with car during Delaware opening night

We ran at Delaware Speedway last night to hopefully get the last of the engine bugs out of the car. In practice the car wasn't very good so the crew went to work making wholesale changes. In the heat race the car came to life and we fought hard with Kennedy and Steckly but wound up 3rd. We started the feature in 7th but the bugs came back and our car didn't really have the power it needed on the straightaway. We will hopefully get this issue sorted out for our first APC series race of the year on Saturday at Sunset Speedway.
