Tire stagger hinders Gemmell during last 50 laps of the Castrol 200

Our last race of the APC series season was on Saturday September 23rd at Delaware Speedway for the Castrol 200. Our car was dialed in from the start of practice as we placed 3rd and 6th in the two sessions out of 31 cars to take time.
In qualifying Gemmell placed 9th quickest.
After the invert Gemmell would start pole for the 200 lap race. Early on Gemmell would fall back to 3rd and would ride here for the majority of the race. At the halfway break the crew refueled the car for the last 100 laps. Gemmell continued to hold onto 3rd until a caution with 60 to go. The leaders would pit and we came in to put new right side tires on. We would restart 20th. Gemmell would manage to climb to 15th but would throw the car too deep into turns 3 and 4. This resulted in a self spin. We would restart 20th again and only managed to climb back to 12th at the end of the race. The right side tires we put on grew way to much which didn't help our car. Not the result we wanted to end our season but we had a quicker car than the result. We ended up finishing 6th in points on the year. We would like to thank all our sponsors this year that made this season a success. #Dayco #APC #Canusa #MiamiMuscle #Castrol #RayCullen #SMP #ACDelco #Fram #SKF #EPIC #SpectraPremium #APExhaust #ThompsonPhotography
Gemmell grabs podium finish at Sauble Speedway

Our 2nd last race of the APC series season was on Saturday August 26th at Sauble Speedway. Practice was quite the show as our car wasn't very good at all. We threw the kitchen sink at it and went out for the last session. We picked up and got the car handling way better but as we rolled into our pit stall our left front shock mount broke plus our panhard bar mount ended up breaking as well. Shae and his crew went to work fixing these issues before qualifying.
In qualifying Gemmell placed 9th quickest. We would make some tire pressure adjustments and head out for our 100 lap race. After the invert Gemmell would start 4th. We would pass the 10 and 94 car early on to move to 2nd. The 84 car would get by Gemmell moving him back to 3rd by lap 10. Gemmell than rode the back bumper of the 22p until making his move on lap 46 to move to 2nd. Gemmell would hold onto to 2nd after some late race charges from the 22 car of Steckly. With were our day started to how it ended it was a full team effort for this podium finish. #Dayco #APC #Canusa #MiamiMuscle #Castrol #RayCullen #SMP #ACDelco #Fram #SKF #EPIC #SpectraPremium #APExhaust #stewartsequipment #ThompsonPhotography #NeverGiveUp
